Final Stretch!

And then there were two. New Zealand was able to knock out South Africa - sorry Robinsons and Tucks (I admit to cheering for NZ but i was purely due to who I had on my team, nothing against the proteas) Anyway, that game had some rain delay issues and then finished in a limited over fashion. South Africa had a great opening inning putting up 281 from 43 overs but NZ just got the better of them in the end. So who will New Zealand face next? Will it be India? They have been storming their way through this tournament, undefeated. Or will it be Australia? They certainly have history on their side and a nice home court advantage.

500 points currently separates 5th from 1st. 5 people within 500 - lots of juggling can still happen, so long as we don't all choose the same 11. SO, who are you going to throw your trade to? How will you make yourself stand out? Michael has settled into the sweaty teddy role for sure but the spots just above him are still in play, so give it your all folks, TWO MORE GAMES!

  1. Can you imagine a New Zealand, Australia final? The locals will be going nuts.I want to go dark for the last game but don't want the bad vibes that go with it. What to do, what to do? I really wanted Moira to take the first prize so we could all go to England for the ceremony. It could still happen.

  4. Missy, it would have been so cool to see you all in England for the ceremony. But a peculiarly South African thing has taken me out of the running altogether. We have a lovely thing called load shedding, in which areas of South Africa quite literally go dark because the national electricity provider, Eskom, is so incompetent that it cannot keep the full grid running. It has allowed power stations to fall into disrepair, can't seem to order diesel fuel in time to keep generators running (imagine???), and coal silos have not been maintained to the point that their walls are collapsing. Load shedding hit our area yesterday afternoon and evening and so I wasn't able to make my trades. I suspect that going dark with your team won't generate nearly the same amount of bad vibes as Eskom's load shedding. I can't win any more, but I wish you top four all an equal amount of good luck so that none of you can accuse me of favouritism. :)

  5. Not good Moira. There is always 2019! Join me as we wobble along in the middle. At least we have tried! No sweaty teddy for us. Yes, good luck to all those going dark.
