Or just a South African practice session? Seriously did Zimbabwe leave their players on the plane? I knew they were underdogs but really, they didn't even show up to this match. And my only Zimbabwian got me a golden duck. Lucky for me I had some Proteas to get me a few points which I sorely need since my captain has yet to play a game.
Not much changed in our little comp except Catherine seems to have had a bit of a surge. Now that we have a few data points maybe I can convince Michael to break out the worm. What do say Michael? We need a worm! I mean, we need a worm please!
Tomorrow my captain will still not be playing, but other folks will. Folks like the Kiwis and the Bangladeshis. Also the Afghans and the Brits. Good luck to all.

I agree, Katy. That was not a game! It was so excruciatingly awful that I had to stop watching for a while. I did go back to see South Africa dribble the last ball to a fielder. It seemed to me that all the fielders dived every time SA hit the ball - but they dived away from the ball!!Why were they included in the competition? One of our County sides would do better than that! Anyway, having thought that Kallis would shoot me up in the rankings, I went up by one - what do I have to do to win this competition??
ReplyDeleteJa, no, as we say on this side of the Atlantic and down towards the South Pole, I wouldn't be banking too much on Kallis any more. Then again, who am I to opine on these matters, considering that I am proudly holding up the bottom of the log? I do it so well, though. Congrats to those speeding along at the top!
ReplyDeleteWatch the England/Afghanistan match if you want to see cricket as it should be played. Some superb batting and fielding.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to me - stayed home from work, watched a game of cricket, and took first place from Abdullah!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday indeed, well done Anna. Bazinga!
