Michael I would like to say Thank you on behalf of everyone for the worm - much needed bit of insight.
Today? There was cricket? Seems sort of wrong that I spent all those precious trades stacking my team with West Indians and then they don't even get the chance to bat, this includes my captain, shame. Any who, the game was rained out, they called it a no game and sent the West Indies through to the super eight round anyway.
So, tomorrow we have the last of the group stage matches this one between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Then no game on Wed. and the super eights start on Thursday. So, the super eights shape up as follows:
A1 England B1 Australia C1 Sri lanka D1 TBD (Pakistan)
A2 India B2 West Indies C2 South Africa D2 New Zealand
D1 is to be determined but Pakistan will go through unless they lose by more than 36 runs.
So your first super eight games on Thursday will be SL v NZ and E v WI
Since not much cricket happened today not much changed on the worm except the Thought Pads didn't think to put any Irish or West Indians on their team so the Fours and Sixes along with Ashland surpassed them.
Lets see what fun tomorrow brings

Silly business with all our West Indian choices for nothing. I am looking for a little more positive gradient on my worm - how about an exponential curve rather than a straight line?? Looking forward to the Super Eights - have you all used up all your trades yet?
ReplyDeleteDoes a positive gradient on your worm mean that it will produce wee for the garden? And there was me thinking that no-one else would bother with the WI game and I could sneak a few points in.
ReplyDeletewee or no wee I just want it to overtake Bazinga and Hog
ReplyDeletethat was a good run by Nazir but I am happy to see him go out, I need some of MY players to go in!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have time to watch the match. I was sure I had some of the right players - what happens? My worm takes a nosedive. Obviously other folk had more right players than I did. So what happened to Hafeez - he was going well when I last looked!
ReplyDeleteHey, Sis, we're neck and neck. As for Bazinga and Hog, I'm full of admiration but ignoring their scores altogether. My brain, she just can't fathom such big scores. I guess I should stop wee-dling. Meantime, I'm abandoning England to their fate tomorrow. Sorry, Sis.
