Well we've done it again, we've waisted another month with the silly cricket. I mean we've spent an enjoyable month bonding with our family and friends. Thank you all for joining me in the journey.
The West Indies beat England by 4 wickets. England batted first and put up 155. Half century to Root and ducks to Roy and Moeen Ali. 3 wicket hauls to Bravo and Brathwaite. So last night when making my team, I had 1 trade left, so I was looking for a WI bowler. I asked Michael, he didn't know, I narrowed it down to Benn or Brathwaite..........guess who I chose? Yeah, the one with the horrible econ rating, not the 3 wicket haul. Anyway... WI went into bat and stayed true to their normal style of leaving the same person on point for as long as possible. And that person seemed to be their #3, Samuels. In the end he was not out with 85 runs. But, Samuels is not the story, no. Can you guess? Who do you think, in the end, won the game for WI??? Yes, that's right, the one and only Brathwaite!! Why or Why could I not have gone with Brathwaite??? WI needed 19 runs from the last 6 balls, it was looking pretty good for England. Brathwaite was on point, Stokes was into bowl. End then 6!, and 6!, and 6!, and just in case you missed it 6! Brathwaite knocked 4 6's in a row to win the match. WOW!!!
The Wexst Indies may have won the tournament but England prevailed in our little competition. Congratulations to Catherine for taking home the World Twenty20 Cup! and also a hearty congrats to Bob for winning in the qualifying round and to me, for winning the main tournament. And most of all a huge congratulations and Thank you to everyone for playing. Until next time.......
