I've learned my lesson

Going dark is clearly NOT the way to go. I have fallen to 5th now behind my Mom and my brother. Well no more, no more I say. Today is my day, I am off to great places, and will I succeed? Yes, I will indeed (98 3/4% guaranteed)! Kathy Hart also had a late surge ahead of Paul - are any of those folks even playing??

Australia has earned their spot in the semi finals against India. They beat Pakistan by 6 wickets with 97 balls remaining. Pakistan put up 213 with no major batting standouts and then it only took Australia 33.5 overs to chase it down. 4 wicket haul to Hazelwood, anyone pick Hazelwood?? I think he had like 50 total points before yesterday. Well done if you did, I did not. In Australian batting news, Smith got 65 and 64 not out to Watson.

Tonight is the last quarter final with New Zealand taking on the West Indies.

Side note: I was just reading that the New Zealand team was at a fan event posing for "selfies" with folks. Here's my question, is it really a selfie if you pose with someone else? I'm just asking. Paul? Any sage advice? I figure right now half of our crew are saying to themselves, "what's a selfie??" To them I say, "google it" and now they are all saying, "how do I google again??"

  1. OK, i am cheering especially hard for Williamson and Vettori. And while I have Anderson on my team he needs to get a duck - a little one, but a duck. Vettori, how about a 5 wicket haul and Williamson 150!

  3. The question is not 'what is a selfie' but 'how do you take one without getting a very strange picture of a large nostril and a big chin?' Will Chris Gayle have a good day or a bad day this time??

  5. One of the best one day matches ever! See it if you can.

  6. Ja, I am not a fan of large nostrils and chins and selfies one way or another. So, moving on to the fact that I have dropped down to fifth place. Can't figure out how that happened at all. That's because I don't know how I got into first place, in the first place. But, there are three matches to go...

  7. Ah Moira, I really thought your place was secure. But alas, you did not have Guptil on your team. He had 237 runs, not out!

  8. Just watched Vettori's fabulous catch - I loved the entire team running over to congratulate him. They all looked like little boys having a great day playing ball.

  9. Exactly, Anna. It was pretty amazing. I love the passion they put into their playing, as do the West Indians. That is what made it such a good match. Moira, hope you can bounce back up there.
