Flatliners

The whole California Robinson crew forgot to make changes last night.  SO........ we missed out on all the good points today as Sri Lanka beat Ireland by 70 and Namibia took out the Netherlands by 6 wickets.  The good news is that I saved a whole bunch of trades, especially since I don't have to trade today since everyone on my team from the other day will be playing tomorrow.  SO........  Final matches in group B tomorrow.  Looking at the points table you might think Scotland have it made and PNG are going home.  BUT, not true, even PNG have a chance to make it through.  Because of run rates and such the top two spots are wide open, everyone must win.  It should make for a few exciting matches.

As The Worm Turns

The Bright Sun is shining on the 805 Strikers as they both soar

Today's first match saw Scotland continue their domination of group B, beating PNG by 17runs.  Scotland batted first ans put up a formidable 165/9.  Berrington passed the half century mark and was cruising toward a full century but went out at 70.  He had the most help by Cross with 45.  PNG did manage a few wickets though, 4 credited to Morea and a 3 wicket haul for Cross.  So PNG was chasing 165, PNG was playing no good and may just end up as personas no gratas if they are booted from this tournament with nothing to show.  Vanua managed 47 but was caught out while trying to hit a boundary for his half century, other than that, meh, they went all out with 3 balls remaining.  4 wickets to Davey.  Scotland top group B with 4 points, PNG 0

Bangladesh also seem to have shrugged off the sleep and beat Oman by 26 runs.  Bangladesh put up 153 for Oman to chase.  64 coming from Naim and 42 from Al Hasan.  3 wickets a piece to B Khan and Butt.  Heee heeee, I typed Butt, hee hee.  Come on, a little giggle with your cricket news is good.  I know Anna was chuckling. Anyway, I'm sure its a fine upstanding Omani name.  Speaking of Oman, they tried to chase that 153 but couldn't.  The only Omani of note in the batting department was J. Singh with 40.  But 4 wicket haul to my captain Rahman.  I was really excited about that till I realised everyone else was soaring past my with the captain choice of Al Hasan - he had a great day, 3 wickets to add to his 42 runs.

Tomorrow its back to group A action with a losers table (Namibia and the Netherlands) and a winners table (Sri Lanka and Ireland)

As for use, in addition to the Al Hasan crowd doing quite well, Sean's Chuddley Cannons have overtaken Henry's Chartham Strikers.  Lots of cricket left to play.

We have a worm!!

Did you all see the worm?  Thanks to Anna for maintaing our worm for us.  As you can see, Anna's line crossed mine - sad.  Missy is still on  top followed by Michael.  I checked my team against Missys, she gone for the front runners.  I'm hoping my few not front runners will really help me be outstanding in my cows corner.

I have to start doing these blogs during the day cause frankly I don't have the energy right now, my Erasmus B Draggin. A little shout out to Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers.

Tomorrow its the same as day one only opposite.  Scotland will try to knock out PNG, and Oman will see if Bangladesh got a better nights sleep.

For those local - we've figured out how to see the games tape delayed. So, we'll have to pick some for an in person watch session.
